SFG GUI getting stuck in tests during simulation

Sometimes in the pipeline this can be seen since tests fail, it only happens for python 3.13 pyside6.

I've been running that setup locally and can see that the GUI gets stuck when simulation is called.

In !486 (merged) the failing test was inactivated, so when this is solved the test should be re-activated.
